Wealth type in Chinese astrology — where your money comes from, where it lands, where it leaks
Three questions about Bazi and wealth
What is a Wealth Vault in Bazi?+
Chen, Xu, Chou and Wei are the four storage branches. When the element your Day Master controls sits in its storage branch among your Four Pillars, with a Wealth Star hidden inside, you have a Wealth Vault: money keeps, and the door opens when a Luck Cycle or an Annual Luck clashes the vault. The calculator tells you whether you have one and in which pillar.
What is the difference between Direct Wealth and Indirect Wealth?+
Both are the element your Day Master controls; the difference is polarity. Opposite polarity is Direct Wealth: steady, earned, like a salary. Same polarity is Indirect Wealth: opportunity income, fast, like project fees, investments and windfalls. Most charts hold both; what matters is which one shows in the stems and which one has roots.
What does 'wealth heavy, self weak' mean?+
Strong Wealth Stars and a weak Day Master — the classics call it 'a poor man in a rich house': money is visible but hard to hold, and the test is capacity. It describes a structure, not whether you will have money; Resource and Peer cycles enlarge the vessel. In the calculator it is the Vessel type.
