Did what you gave reach them?
How much of your care they actually feel depends on how they're used to being loved. Your two charts show it.

Love this child the way they are
What kind of child this is, what makes them feel loved, and which words they can actually hear.
Begin with this relationship →Grandparent & Grandchild
The same thread, two generations
What the elder holds and rarely says, what the child echoes without knowing, and how a family's warmth carries on.

One family, two temperaments
Same roof, same parents. You were never born caring about the same things.

Before you begin, people often ask
Most of these come from messages readers have sent us. We've answered them as plainly as we can.
What does Bazi compatibility actually compare?
Four layers of your two charts. Your Day Masters, the core of each person, and how they meet: feeding, restraining or combining with each other. The Five Elements each of you carries, and what one has that the other lacks. The links between your Earthly Branches, especially your two Day branches, the place tradition calls the spouse palace. And the Ten Gods: the role each of you plays in the other's chart.
Our charts have a clash. Does that mean we're a bad match?
No. A clash marks a place where you rub against each other; it isn't a verdict on the relationship. Plenty of lasting couples have one. What helps is knowing where it sits and what each of you needs there. That's also why we don't hand out a pass-or-fail score: two charts describe how you meet, not whether you should.
Can I compare charts with my mother, my child or a colleague?
Yes. Choose the relationship before you enter the birth details. A parent and child, two siblings or two colleagues are read differently from a couple: what matters between you is different, and so is the reading we write.
One of us doesn't know their birth time. Can we still do this?
Yes. Enter your best estimate. Your day pillars, which hold both Day Masters and the spouse palace, don't depend on the hour, so the heart of the comparison stays the same. Only the links that involve the hour pillar may change.
How is this different from Chinese zodiac compatibility, like Rat and Ox?
Zodiac compatibility looks at a single character in each chart: the animal of your birth year. Bazi reads all eight characters of both charts, the year, month, day and hour of each of you. Two people whose animals are said not to match can still have charts that support each other deeply, and the other way round.
What do we receive with the full reading?
A reading written from your two charts, not from a template. It starts from the question you probably came with, then shows what happens between you, scenes you're likely to recognize, where the friction sits and what it can teach you, the rhythm of your year together, and how to look after this bond. It arrives by email, usually within a few minutes.
No chart holds everything that lives between two people. We hope this one helps you see each other a little more clearly.
